Holly Ridge Stables evolved from Ron and Elaine’s love of horses. Ron has been riding since he was six years old, and Elaine has been riding only a few years. They love Saddlebreds, but in recent years have come to love harness racing with Standardbreds.

Holly Ridge Stables has been involved in breeding Standardbreds for the past five years. One of Ron and Elaine’s dreams was to have one of their Standardbreds race in Lexington, Kentucky at The Red Mile. That dream was a reality in 2007 with “Ms. Great Georgette” who was born on the farm.

This is a dream come true for Ron and Elaine. It is exciting to see the stables full of beautiful, award winning horses and to interact with the dedicated riders who enjoy the Holly Ridge facilities.
