Riding Clinic with John & Renee Biggins

Ron & Elaine Harrell  attended the Biggins riding camp in Shelbyville, Kentucky,  on February 7th, 8th, 9th and 10, 2008.

Renee Biggins was the coach of the 2006 U.S., World Cup Three-Gaited Saddle Seat Equitation Team.  They captured the world title at the 2006 International Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup events in Parys, South America

Renee has ridden many horses to their World’s Championship and World’s Grand Championship titles.  She is a member of the UPHA and USEF Equitation Committee.

John Biggins is well known in the Saddlebred industry for training and showing.  John has trained the following horses to world champion titles.  “Santana Sage”, “Heart of Blue”, “CF Burn Out”, and the 2005 World’s Grand Champion Junior Three-Gaited winner “Boston Legal”.

The camp was fun filled with 2 riding lessons per day, teaching & training techniques.  In our off time we visited Bret Day at Gray Ridge Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.  Mr. Day showed off some of his top Saddlebreds, and his training techniques.
We left there and had lunch at the famous Holly Hill Inn in Midway, Kentucky.  This was an absolute treat.

To help everyone relax Renee had a massage therapist, in the barn lounge. Between riding sessions you could relax and enjoy.

We had the pleasure of meeting Gayle Lampe, Professor, and Equestrian Studies at the William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri.  This University has a great equestrian program.  Ms. Lampe was an absolute delight.  Our daughter visited the camp at William Woods last summer and had a wonderful experience.

Our last night there we had dinner at the Old Stone Inn in Simpsonville.  We would recommend eating there if you are ever in Simpsonville.  The food is great and atmosphere is great.

We loved the camp and would recommend it to anyone from beginner to experienced rider.  It was a wonderful experience.  Please Call John or  Renee Biggins at (502) 722-5068.  The camp fills up fast.  See photos.
